about me

I’m Isabelle – also known as Mystik Maus. My pronouns are she/her, and I have now completed 38 orbits around the Sun.

My passion for astrology began when I was around seven years old. My mother had a small address book where she kept contact details of acquaintances. What fascinated me most was that the contacts weren’t arranged alphabetically but by birthdays. How fun! Each month also included short descriptions of the Sun signs, suggesting typical traits for people born during that period.

Curious, I started closely observing the people around me to see if these descriptions actually matched their personalities.

Now, nearly 30 years later, I know: Each sign and every planet has its own unique and wonderful qualities. And despite all the time and experience, I still read, research, and discover with the same excitement as back then—and it still brings me just as much joy!

Astrology is deeply connected to archetypes and classical myths, which reflect aspects of the human experience. However, I find it important to emphasize that no one embodies just a single archetype. That would be far too simplistic. We are all unique, shaped by a blend of countless influences and aspects.

The myths and stories that humans have told for thousands of years still shape us today. At the same time, it is essential to take a critical look at how these myths were formed. Only by doing so can we decide what remains relevant, what doesn’t, and what truly resonates with us—what we may choose to redefine or expand for ourselves.

Teachers and influences

I took many courses at Chris Brennan’s astrology schhool and I still listen to the astrology podcast regularly.  Richard Tarnas as well as Demetra Georges publishings will keep me busy forever and have deeply enriched not only my approach to astrology. Chani Nicholas has deeply shaped how I practically approach my readings with her writings and overall work.  I can write an endless list with all the  astrologers and writers that shaped and continue to shape my practice, but the teachers mentioned above is whose work I studied most deeply and that strongly formed my methodology.
